At Bio Assets, Lap has secured strategic alliances with major Chinese Energy enterprises for their entry into Latin American, focusing in Brazil and Colombia.
Lap previously served as Director of AES Latin America Business Development. He had a lead role establishing relationships with major Chinese SOEs, including those in energy field as well as construction companies and banks. Lap has previously also founded other businesses in the aluminium transformation industry and trading companies in the UK and USA. He has held executive positions at Morgan Stanley NY and London.
Lap holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics and International Relations from Brown University and a MBA from the University of Sao Paulo.
Lap has lived in Hong Kong, USA, Sweden, England and is currently based in Brazil. He speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish fluently, and Cantonese conversationally.
Lucas Ferrari – Project Manager
Lucas joined Bio Assets in 2018 as the company Project Manager, acting on project development and structuring of solar, logistics, REDD+, community projects.
Lucas has undertaken the following work in forest carbon: Developing of financial structures and strategic planning of new REDD+ projects in Latin America and Asia.
He has also led the successful application of Organic Certification Manual on the for a local Amazon rural cooperative and was responsible for the design of an innovative açaí logistics project;
Among his responsibilities is the managing of co-related teams and partnerships developed by the senior partners; working on both strategic planning and practical field implementation of the projects.
Lucas holds a Bachelor’s degree on Business Administration from the School of Economics, Business and Accounting of USP (FEA-USP).
Shirley Moreira – Social Responsibility Manager
Shirley Moreira is the Social Responsibility Manager.
Shirley is responsible for implementing the social support of the projects, she maintains and supports the relationships with the local communities, prepares reports and controls of the social demands which the projects demand.
She often mobilizes and articulates the with the community members, ensuring that the projects promote local sustainable development, that the social actions are monitored. She also supports the administrative part of the company and the internal process organization.
