At Bio Assets, Lap has secured strategic alliances with major Chinese Energy enterprises for their entry into Latin American, focusing in Brazil and Colombia.
Lap previously served as Director of AES Latin America Business Development. He had a lead role establishing relationships with major Chinese SOEs, including those in energy field as well as construction companies and banks. Lap has previously also founded other businesses in the aluminium transformation industry and trading companies in the UK and USA. He has held executive positions at Morgan Stanley NY and London.
Lap holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics and International Relations from Brown University and a MBA from the University of Sao Paulo.
Lap has lived in Hong Kong, USA, Sweden, England and is currently based in Brazil. He speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish fluently, and Cantonese conversationally.
Shirley Moreira is the Social Responsibility Manager.
Shirley is responsible for implementing the social support of the projects, she maintains and supports the relationships with the local communities, prepares reports and controls of the social demands which the projects demand.
She often mobilizes and articulates the with the community members, ensuring that the projects promote local sustainable development, that the social actions are monitored. She also supports the administrative part of the company and the internal process organization.
Graduated with an LLB from the São Paulo Catholic University (2003),and obtained the LL.M. degree from the University of Heidelberg, Germany (2006) with a dissertation on the “Cooperative mechanisms to implement and enforce the climate change regime” and was approved with the highest grade (sehr gut – very good).
Since 2003 he is practicing in the litigation and environmental areas of Pinheiro Neto Advogados – São Paulo.
On the carbon credit market and environmental services projects, he has been advising public and private entities in several modalities of projects, such as landfill gas capture, biodigestion of animal waste, use of alternative energy sources and reforestation/aforestation and maintenance of carbon stocks. On the renewable energy and agribusiness sector, he has been also advising investors in biofuels production, ethanol mills and hydro plants.
Business Administrator graduated from FGV, with a Master’s degree from IME-USP (Institute of Mathematics and Statistics – USP) and Stanford (Palo Alto, CA), with more than 20 years of experience in the Brazilian and American Capital Markets, he was responsible for leading commercial and product structuring teams at international financial institutions such as BNP Paribas, Macquire Bank (NY), Black Rock and Citi.
