At Bio Assets, Lap has secured strategic alliances with major Chinese Energy enterprises for their entry into Latin American, focusing on Brazil.
Lap previously served as Director of AES Latin America Business Development where he coordinated growth. He also had a lead role establishing relationships with Chinese partners, including those in energy field as well as construction companies and banks. Lap has also founded other businesses in the aluminum industry and trading companies in the UK and USA. He has held executive positions at Morgan Stanley NY and London. Lap previously founded an NGO, the Institute for a sustainable Amazon.
Lap holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics and International Relations from Brown University and a MBA from the University of Sao Paulo. He has been a guest speaker at renewable energy, climate change (UNFCCC) and biodiversity conferences.
Lap is well-travelled and has lived in Hong Kong, USA, Sweden, and England. He speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish fluently, and Cantonese conversationally.
Lucas Ferrari – Project Manager
Lucas joined Bio Assets in 2018 as the company Project Manager, acting on project structuring through the development of solar, logistics, REDD+, community projects, among others.
Lucas has undertaken the following work in forest carbon: Developing of financial structures and strategic planning of the açaí logistics project; successful application of Organic Certification Manual on the sustainable extrativism of Ecomapuá Amazon REDD+ communities; managing co-related teams and partnerships prospected by the Executive Directorship; working on both strategic planning and practical field implementation of company projects; successful construction and application of fund-raising structures to financial institutions and private equity companies;
Bachelor’s degree on Business Administration from the School of Economics, Business and Accounting of USP (FEA-USP).
Shirley Moreira – Social Responsibility Manager
Shirley Moreira is the Social Responsibility Manager of Bio Assets.
Shirley implements social and management projects, maintains relationships and strategic partnerships with local communities, prepares reports and controls of the social responsibility area. Mobilizes and articulates the communities of Bio Assets projects, making use of partnerships to promote local development. She guarantees the sustainability of our social actions, and act in the administrative part of the company, in bidding processes related to sustainable assets and internal process organization.
